We make films with a purpose, to change the narrative. Being respectful and culturally accurate.

We are committed to work with & support every filmmaker of any background that believes in fair representation of Latinos in film.

There are 63 million Americans of Latino descent, and their stories have not been told correctly.

Latinos account for 25% of the movie ticket purchasing power in the US, and they are eager to see their stories depicted respectfully and accurately on the big screen and television.

But for far too long, the Mexican-American & Latino community has been depicted by Hollywood as invaders, gang members, laborers, or just non-existent.

It’s time for that to change.

Dr. Ruiz Productions is a film production company founded by Dr. Jose-Luis Ruiz, dedicated to telling authentic and impactful stories that amplify the voices and experiences of underrepresented communities.

With a passion for storytelling and a commitment to increase authentic Latino representation in film, Dr. Ruiz established the company to create films that inspire, educate, and spark meaningful conversations. Our mission is to produce high-quality, inclusive content that reflects the diversity of the world we live in.

At Dr. Ruiz Productions, we believe that authentic storytelling has the power to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and promote empathy and understanding. We are committed to creating a platform for diverse voices to be heard, and to producing films that leave a lasting impact on audiences worldwide.
