A Modern Cinderella Story with a Dash of Latino Reality *

This film stands where My Fair Lady meets Under the Same Moon. It is the Cinderella story of Xochitl, a Mexican-American street fruit vendor, who is offered a life-changing opportunity by Andrew Goldblum, a powerful film director, when a career rival challenges him. The bet tests Xochitl's ability to integrate into a world different from hers, helped by the studio’s “fixer” Jenna, whom she sees with suspicion. What follows is a collision of cultures, forming new friendships and rivalries with unexpected consequences.

This a feel-good, Latino immigrant Cinderella Story for the entire family, touching on:

· Cultural bias & Self-esteem

· Immigration, DACA & the consequences of families being torn apart

· Gives a voice to usually ignored street vendors and their stories.
