The Cinderella story of Xochitl, a Mexican-American street fruit vendor, who is offered a life-changing opportunity by Andrew Goldblum, a powerful film director, when he is challenged by a career rival. The bet tests her ability to integrate into a world different from hers, with the help of the studio’s “fixer” Jenna, who appears to be her polar opposite. What follows is a collision of cultures, unexpected friendships and rivalries, romance, and improbable bonds that defy the odds.
